Excuse my absence....

Well to start things off, Quinn got his first set of stitches. A friends German Shepherd bit him about a week ago. Quinn was just swinging on their swingest and the dog pounced on him. So this is the scratch and bruising on his side.....

And here are the stitches and more bruising on his arm. Thankfully the ER was not busy and we got in right away. The dog missed his bone by an inch. Being a full grown 12 year old shepherd that could have been quite serious. He had his tetanus shot done in kindergarten so he didn't need to get another shot. The dog has been dealt with..So onto more fun things here are a few cards I have made. These 2 were for some friends who helped out while I was in the hospital, they have gift cards in them.

This is a post it note holder, my new fun and EASY thing to make! And a great little gift!
Birthday card....just a cute one LOL
This is a new favorite card, I am teaching it at my next workshop!

Chocolat?

I got this idea somewhere in the internet world and thought it was such a great idea! So this first one is a toblerone bar, and I just jazzed it up with some patterned paper, prima flowers, and the Yummy stamp set.

This one I used the Easter Blooms stamp set and some ribbon I had from who knows where LOL

Some cards and reno's...

I made some things up for an open house I am going to be doing for the start of my Stampin' Up business, I still haven't decided what I am going to do but thought I would post the few things I did make.

So this one was made with a new stamp set I got that will be offered in a promo starting Feb 1 called Sale a Bration! It's called Yummy! I used a piece of bashful blue for the envelope part.

Again I used the Yummy stamp set for this and filled the little basket I made with candy hearts

This I used tempting turquise, yoyo yellow and pink passion for the ink's and paper, the stamp set is Party Hearty.

Oh and this is my new fave stamp set it's called Eastern Blooms! LOVE it! The coloured flowers were stamped then cut out and stuck on.

My boys...

I had to post this video of the boys, I have a rule with the Wii.....they can only play it the way it is intended to be played, which is standing up off the couch. We didn't get a gaming system for them to sit around and zone out. Yes certain games they do that, but the majority of them are active. I thought this one was quite funny to watch so I have uploaded it for you. THey are playing a Star Wars Lego game.

A reno update....

Of course with my fabulous husband back to work, I now get to live with plywood floors.....yes I complain, but I am really happy it's getting done! I just wish my fairy godrenovator could snap his fingers and voila, finished!
So here are some progress photos, what turned into a small kitchen project is not a top floor project. The way the laminate was layed originally we had to rip up the dining room, hallway, just to get the laminate in the living room....thus we were short as alot of boards broke. So we have some new flooring that is beautiful!

So what reno would be complete without a kitty helper....

Kitchen with new fridge, we wanted to go back to the bottom mount fridge, and thankfully money allowed us this option.

Ripping up the hallway flooring....

Hmmm was it easier when he was ill?

Yes suprise, suprise, Neil is feeling better and my house gets ripped apart even more! Well I hand it to him, he sat and slept for 2 weeks to battle the pneumonia, and as much as I love him for getting better. Really did we need more reno's done? So the flooring has been ripped up in the kitchen, it was really bad tile! And of course there was mold underneath, so that had to go....so out comes the skill saw to cut out the floor, and put in new plywood. SO while that's happening hey let's cut out the wall that we half cut out 3 years ago!
Yes this is my life....I worry what will happen when this house is done of reno's.....although with my darling husband I am sure there will always be something for him!

Bad blogger...

Christmas and New Years is my excuse, but I am back! I have a new venture ahead for 2009 too!!!

I have signed up as a http://www.blogger.com/www.stampinup.com Stampin' Up demonstrator. My friend has been doing it for years, and I have been quite involved with her stash, sadly they have moved up to Stewart BC, so I figured that her crew needed a supplier here LOL. So I'll give it a go for 2009 and see how I do at it.

Here are some pics to show you my new work area.....the boys are in with each other now.
